PROVYS: new organization, new goals
After several years of continuous growth of its PROVYS division and its PROVYS TVoffice product development, DCIT has taken measures aimed at further improvement of the quality of product development, implementation, and customer support.
With the intention to clarify responsibilities and streamline processes related to the PROVYS product, the former PROVYS division has been split into two independent divisions, of which the first (PROVYS development) specializes in product development and the second (PROVYS realization) is responsible for sales, implementation projects, and customer support. The new organization is effective as of April 1, 2005.
The managing director of DCIT has appointed Michal Stehlik to the position of the Director of the PROVYS development division. Michal joined DCIT in 1993. From 2001 he headed the PROVYS Development team. He has wide knowledge of broadcast market requirements, needs, and expectations as well as of software development techniques and processes. Michal graduated in mathematics from the Charles University in Prague. He has been involved in the product architecture design since the very first PROVYS version, which was implemented for the Czech Television in 1996. His main objective is to enhance the responsiveness of PROVYS development to the needs and expectations of DCIT customers and the market in general while keeping abreast of the trends in technology.
Jan Hrdlicka has been appointed to the position of the Director of PROVYS realization. Jan joined DCIT in 1996 starting his career as a developer and consultant. He also has been involved in PROVYS from the very beginning. Since 2003 he has been responsible for PROVYS sales and project supervision. Jan graduated from the Czech Technical University with a degree in computer technology. The experience he has acquired while personally managing numerous PROVYS deployment projects provides him with deep understanding of customer processes as well as project management and partnership relations. In his new position Jan will continue his effort to keep PROVYS deployment projects smooth and timely and focus on helping PROVYS customers to make most of their investment.
By virtue of their appointments, Michal and Jan have become full members of the DCIT management.
The PROVYS development division has set up the process of continuous product development and customer requirements tracking related to the PROVYS TVoffice product. It has initiated a project of Internet based access to the customer requirement and bug-tracking database and it is going to provide continuous information on the changes, extensions, new modules and bug fixes involved in regularly released versions of PROVYS TVoffice.
