Tender won in ETV

At the beginning of this year, the PROVYS division won a tender for a channel management system for Estonian Television (ETV).

ETV is the biggest Estonian language broadcaster in the World. The Broadcasting Council has established a committee to prepare for the consolidation of Estonian Television and Estonian Radio in order to construct a strong national public-broadcasting organisation.
ETV has maintained an archive since 1955 in which broadcasts of unique Aspects of Estonian culture are held.

The project of the PROVYS system implementation has already begun and covers the transfer of the whole transmission planning process from schema and long-term planning, over the billing process up to daily scheduling and as-run-log. Among areas included there are also self-promotions planning, tape library with complete Beta archive management, programme library, sports and music archive with full programme description.

The recently introduced PROVYS production module will be utilised in ETV for effective budgeting their own production, monitoring and planning of production process including programme description and resource dispatching.

All the PROVYS TVoffice system is translated into Estonian and data migration from legacy applications comes as part of the implementation process, which is expected to successfully complete in autumn 2005.
