Successful completion of PROVYS TVoffice upgrade in Czech Television

By the end of 2004, the project of PROVYS TVoffice system modernisation in The Czech Television (CT) was successfully completed. The processes in CT are now fully supported by the latest version of PROVYS TVoffice .

The Czech Television is now benefiting from a complete functionality of the newest version of the PROVYS TVoffice channel management including schema and long-term planning, daily scheduling, billing, self-promotion management, programme description, tape library, production management, licence acquisition and material shipping, and transmission evaluation. To decrease demands for manual data retyping CT is also utilizing several interfaces of the PROVYS TVoffice solution to share data between various systems such as ERP, playout automation, audience research, and royalty payments management.

The PROVYS TVoffice product is two generations younger than the original one, in which CT did their programme scheduling since 1997. The upgrade has enabled CT to utilise the PROVYS team’s experience gained in other television stations and so improve the efficiency, automation and integration of processes and security of information supported by PROVYS TVoffice.

The main features of the PROVYS TVoffice installation in Czech Television were large number of users (more than 1000) with thoroughly specified access rights, extensive screen customisation and process optimisation, large amounts of data, over which complex searching operations are done, large numbers of automated notifications via email gateways, tight integration with the ERP system and other components of their information system including on-line interfaces.
