Czech TV transmission scheduling processes transferred to PROVYS TVoffice
The PROVYS division of DCIT has successfully completed the first stage of the PROVYS installation upgrade in Czech TV. Czech TV transmission scheduling processes are now fully supported by the newest version of the PROVYS TVoffice product with a considerable amount of customisation.
Having started with PROVYS in Czech TV 10 years ago, DCIT is coming up with an upgrade: The original version of PROVYS has been improved and extended into the freshest version - PROVYS TVoffice. The project is now in its first phase - broadcasting integrated with the original PROVYS with regard to programme description, production management and both media and programmes archive management. The second and third phase will be realised at the end of 2003; and in 2004, the complete transformation will top off the whole process.
The new PROVYS TVoffice is two generations younger than the first PROVYS version and it integrates the previous experience with knowledge gained by PROVYS division outside Czech TV with the aim to raise the efficiency of operation, security, automation, integration with strategic planning etc.
Just like the first version, PROVYS TVoffice is able to support effectively a small TV station with just five users as well as a large one with one thousand users, all of which goes with a very detailed specification of roles and responsibilities in individual processes and activities.
What advantages will PROVYS TVoffice bring to Czech TV?
- higher flexibility in the processes, relationships, parametrisation, and mode of presentation
- new functions in the field of strategic planning, long term planning, publication, preparation of interstitials, work with commercials etc.
- more integrated user processes
- increase in automation of repeated and stable processes leaves more space for handling individual situations regarding planning and for as-run log evaluation
PROVYS TVoffice is an integrated software solution supporting major daily operations of broadcasters including schema scheduling, long term programme planning, programme library management, licence management, self-promotion management, transmission scheduling, tape management, and transmission evaluation.
