DCIT will implement its new station management solution for the Czech TV

Based on the new PROVYS/2 product DCIT will implement new integrated station management for the public TV station of the Czech republic. The project is scheduled to cover all station management activities from programme planning and transmission scheduling to tape management and detailed programme description for archiving and researh purposes.

DCIT has started implementation of the newest version of its station management software solution PROVYS for the Czech Television. The implementation will be based on standard PROVYS/2 functionality extended according to the requirements of the Czech TV.

The Czech TV is a long-term partner of DCIT - it is using a recent version of the PROVYS station management solution from the year 1997. Based on the experience with DCIT and its solution the Czech TV has decided to replace its current station management software with the newest functions and features brought by the PROVYS/2 version. Among all the Czech TV expects that the PROVYS/2 version will provide more comfortable and efficient environment for the daily operations with clear path to support the digitization plans and new channels introduction.

The project will, step by step, cover all functions of the PROVYS station management solution including schema scheduling, programme planning and transmission scheduling, self-promotion planning and scheduling, programme library management (including archiving) and rights management, tape management and transmission evaluation.

The Czech TV is the only public TV station in the Czech Republic celibrating 50 years anniversary of the first public broadcasting in the recent Czechoslovakia. The Czech TV is currently the biggest producer of TV programming content in the Czech republic.
