Channel 6 running on PROVYS TVoffice
Channel 6, a new general audience broadcaster in Ireland, appeared on air at the end of March 2006. The station’s operations use PROVYS TVoffice to manage the complete workflow from rights management, through planning and scheduling, to tape management and reporting. Channel 6 chose PROVYS for its flexibility and for easy integration with Arqiva playout, who have already used PROVYS TVoffice for many years.
According to Mark Kellett, Managing Director of Channel 6, “This was a difficult and an exciting period at the same time. We were building a new channel out of nothing. All of us had different experience from our previous jobs and as we worked together we identified new areas that needed our attention. Luckily, PROVYS were very helpful in analysing our new needs with us and providing solutions.”

In the past nine years, PROVYS have installed their product all across Europe. With installations in Estonia and Greece in the east and Ireland in the west, Europe seems to have become small to this young and ambitious team. Where will it go next? Should PROVYS’ first presence at NAB this year suggest an answer?
