Provys presents a complete workflow solution at IBC 2011

Besides the traditionally strong functionality of its flagship products, TVoffice and TVsales, Provys is going to demonstrate a workflow and integration solution based on Provys and its partner products. The demonstration covers the ingest and transcoding processes, metadata editing, previewing, planning, secondary graphics and playout integration. The complete process is topped by a management reporting and decision support solution.

On visiting the Provys stand, visitors to IBC 2011 will have the unique opportunity of seeing a complete station workflow solution integrated using the Provys TVoffice server and its media management extensions. Instead of simply describing its workflow management possibilities and options, the Provys team is building a demonstration network covering all basic workflow components.

The workflow will present

• ingest and editing processes based on metadata gathering
• automated media quality check and its gathering of metadata
• automated media transcoding and media copy handling
• media and metadata storage and search facility
• low-resolution preview integrated into the Provys application environment as well as into web applications
• play-out planning and media traffic
• secondary graphics planning and preview integrated into planning applications
• play-out automation integration including play-list, media content, and secondary graphics
• live play-out action using the data provided by the Provys server

Together with the management and integration of workflow, Provys is going to demonstrate new extensions in its core functionality including non-linear content licensing, non-linear service planning, hierarchical commercial campaign planning, and production group planning. All of these extensions provide higher levels of process automation and resource utilisation needed to improve station performance and effectiveness.

The results of implementing the Provys based solution can be measured using the integrated functionality of its management reporting and data analysis tools used to build management cockpits in all major process areas.
